Mr. Brubacher
Be GREAT Today!

Dear Stratton Students, Parents, Staff, and Community,

I would like to take this opportunity to say how honored and excited I am to serve as the K-12 Principal of your district. Relationships are an integral part of this community and I am thrilled to be a part of such a welcoming environment.

As a new member of your district and community, I look forward to interacting with all of you. The mission of Stratton School District is to provide meaningful opportunities, experiences, and guidance, combined with high expectations that will enable each student to become a moral, ethical, responsible, informed, and productive member of society.  As your principal, I promise to work hard to continue the legacy of success established at Stratton by building strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners. We will focus on setting high expectations, providing exciting opportunities for all students, college and career readiness, use of data to inform instruction, consistent use of instructional strategies to increase students’ achievement, and building productive members of society.

It is my 4th year professionally in education. Over the past couple years I have served as the business and marketing teacher at McClave School District and prior to that, I worked in the elementary special education department at Alamosa School District in Alamosa, CO. I have a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from West Texas A&M University and am finishing up a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. My 2 Labrador retrievers and I reside in Burlington and Kit Carson County has been the most welcoming to us. I come from a long line of educators. My mother is a Principal at Walsh School District and my grandmother is looking to start her 20th year of teaching at Holly School District.

I look forward to meeting each and every one of you! Today (July 20th) is my first day in the office and I’ll be at the school most days so feel free to come by and say ‘hello’. I would love to meet you and discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas that you have. My door is always open and I welcome your input!

I hope that you are taking the time to rest, relax and rejuvenate. As you know, the summer months can fly by and we look forward to welcoming you back in just a few short weeks!

See you soon!
